Hello Everyone,
Please find this invite from Sindhu and Shriram at their residence in Hamilton to celebrate Sai Palki and Golu on Sat, Oct 5th, 2024 at 10 am EDT.
The hosts will be inviting ๐’๐ก๐ข๐ซ๐๐ข ๐’๐š๐ข๐›๐š๐›๐š ๐๐š๐ฅ๐ค๐ก๐ข ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐Œ๐จ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ฃ๐ข ๐ƒ๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐š ๐“๐š๐ฉ๐จ๐ฏ๐š๐ง ๐€๐ฌ๐ก๐ซ๐š๐ฆ, ๐‚๐š๐ง๐š๐๐š and there will be reading of one chapter from Shirdi Sai Sat Charitra, Short Meditation, light Bhajans and Sai Aarti.
You will also get to see ๐†๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ ie creative displays of clay and wooden dolls and figurines on stepped platforms (usually a series of tiers) in homes. It is part of the Navaratri or Dasara celebrations that lasts for nine days, which are held in honor of the goddess Durga.These dolls often depict scenes from Hindu mythology, daily life, and various gods and goddesses.
The Golu display is a way to honor the divine and to celebrate the triumph of good over evil, aligning with the themes of Navaratri.
It will be followed by scrumptious vegetarian bhog between 12.30pm-1.30pm.
